Cookeville City School (1924-1932)

Cookeville City School

Home to Cookeville High School from 1924 to 1932

Originally built as a grammar school to replace the "old City School," the "new" Cookeville City School opened in 1921.  In addition to 25 classrooms, it offered modern facilities such as a gymnasium and cafeteria.  Three years after it opened, Cookeville City School also housed the four-year high school, called Central High School.
